GETA Service Trust (GETA) is a registered not-for-profit Society. Founded by Murali Krishna Valiveti on 14 November 2005, as Gandhi Education & Training Associates (that's how the word GETA came). The initial years focused on educational counseling, career counseling, self-employment counseling, and placement services to the local youth in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, India.
GETA made a mark in the region in so many ways. Some of the flagship programs over the first fifteen years include Eduction & Career Counseling Seminars, GETA Talents Tests, GETA NextGen Stars Program, GETA Pre-Placement Practice Program, GETA Summer Events (Training Camps), Blackboards Project, School Bags Project, and GETA Good Citizenship Grooming Program. Organized over 1500 events and influenced about 200,000 students in the first fifteen years.
With changing times and needs, Chairman Murali Krishna Valiveti noted the need for Indigenous Innovations for India to be self reliant. Launched the GETA Young Scientist Program (GYS) on 26 January 2022 promoting Student Innovations across the Nation. GYS focuses on high school students in classes six through twelve. The initiative aims to produce at least 1,00,000 innovations by 2030. GETA organizes events and contests raising Scientific Temper among students. Publishes Training Modules for Teachers as well as Students to attempt and practice Innovation. We can proudly say that we had a humble start and we dedicated 100 Student Innovations to the Nation by 2025. GETA launched Young Scientist India, an English Monthly Magazine on Science & Innovation exclusively for Teachers to promote innovation.
