Problem Discription: Food waste is a growing global problem with serious environmental, economic, and social consequences. In schools and communities, large amounts of edible Food are discarded daily, while millions still go hungry. This project focuses on developing student-led, innovative solutions to reduce Food waste through awareness, technology, and community action. Our initiative encourages the creation of a Smart Food Tracker App to help students and families monitor Food expiry dates, receive meal suggestions using leftover ingredients, and donate excess food through a sharing platform. Additionally, we propose launching composting programs in schools to turn organic waste into valuable compost for student run gardens, promoting both sustainability and hands-on learning. To inspire behavior change, awareness campaigns such as Waste Less Weeks can challenge students to track and cut down their food waste. These campaigns can be supported through posters, social media content, and classroom discussions about the impact of Food waste on climate change and food security. Through simple, creative actions driven by students, this project aims to significantly reduce food waste, support local communities, and promote a culture of responsibility and sustainability among young people.
